Mastercard Foundation 2026 University of Cambridge Scholarship

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge provides African students with fully-funded opportunities to complete their master's training and contribute to climate resilience efforts across Africa.

Benefits

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program covers:

  • Course fee
  • Monthly living / maintenance allowance
  • Visa application fee, IHS surcharge and economy return ticket
  • Cohort-wide induction programme
  • Termly leadership training modules
  • 3-6 month placement in Africa-based organisation

Requirements

  1. Have a bachelor's degree
  2. Meet academic entry requirements of chosen course
  3. Be from and live in an African country
  4. Apply for eligible full-time master's course (excluding MBA, MACC, MCL, MFIN)
  5. Demonstrate commitment to giving back to community and sustainability themes

Selection Process

Selection criteria include outstanding intellectual ability, commitment to climate resilient futures for Africa, and leadership potential.
